Eight quotes that I learned from “Dead Poet Society”!

1.    Gather ye rosebuds while ye may, Old Time is still a-flying;
And this same flower that smiles today. Tomorrow will be dying.
To the Virgins, to Make Much of Time,Herrick, R., 1591 – 1674.

2.    Carpe Diem, seize the day

3.    But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.

4.    That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse. What your verse will be?

5.    I sound my barbaric yawp over the roofs of the world. Song of Myself LII, Whitman,W., 1819 – 1892.

6.    I brought them up here to illustrate the point of conformity. The difficulty in maintaining your own beliefs in the face of others.

7.    But, you must trust your beliefs are unique, your own.

8.    There’s a time for daring and there’s a time for caution, and a wise man understands which is called for.

These are the eight quotes I can’t wait to record it down.

However, I do believing people will get confused the true meaning of being living “Carpe Diem” and being aggressive. That’s the reason I love the eighth quote. It’s more like a bridge that connect 2 parts of the world.

In short, this is a movie that one worth to spend about 2 hours to watch rather than just doing nothing and lay on the sofa!
